My name is Sarah Channon and I am the co founder of BonBons Day Nurseries Ltd which was incorporated in 2001 as a direct response to my own personal experiences in finding suitable childcare for my son. My research outlined a real need for childcare provision that could meet the demands of modern family life and BonBons was created in partnership with my brother Gary to deliver this vision.
We successfully opened our first 52 place nursery in 2003 in the village of Thornton, Bradford which is now a thriving nursery delighting the many children who attend and benefits from having a vast amount of outdoor space providing a wide variety of play opportunities.
Our second 78 place nursery opened in 2004 in Shipley and occupies a prominent position and private car park just off the main Saltaire road and offers large, spacious rooms fully equipped with age appropriate furniture and resources creating a stimulating environment for the children.
The third and most recent site was a brand new purpose built nursery in Frizinghall which opened in 2005 originally in partnership with the Neighbourhood Nurseries Initiative and Sure Start Shipley but has operated independently since 2008 as a 36 place facility providing a warm and friendly home from home environment.
Ten years on from incorporation I am now the sole owner of an established chain of nurseries recognised in Bradford for developing and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and my own two children have been able to progress through school with the solid foundations to learning that came from their own experiences within the BonBons nurseries.
As a working parent I am acutely aware of the challenges faced today by parents in accessing quality provision and through continued partnerships with parents and other childcare professionals I am personally committed to the delivery of a quality service.
