The Thornton nursery is currently managed by Alison Griffiths who joined BonBons with extensive management experience gained in the private and public sector and hasvery quickly established herself as a competent and effective team leader. The Deputy Manager Louisa Gill has been in place since the nursery first opened and has always demonstrated outstanding childcare and management skills and she is supported by Kimberley Grantham and Ame-Louise Babbs who are original team members who have progressed into Senior Nursery Nurse positions through their continued hard work and dedication to the children. Kimberley Grantham joined BonBons as a Nursery Nurse and has now successfully achieved her degree in early childhood studies and has excelled in an Acting Deputy role while covering Louisa’s maternity absence.
The nursery is further complimented by a number of long standing qualified nursery nurse’s including Kaylear Gregory, Nicola Mcleod and Emma Nichol and the Catering Manager Irene Miller has been serving up delicious healthy home cooked food for many years.
Shipley nursery today benefits from the Area Manager Heidi Brewer and Nursery Manager Andrea Needham both in place to lead the largest BonBons setting. Heidi Brewer is the longest standing employee in BonBons having joined
at the very start and successfully set up and managed the Thornton nursery for a number of years before progressing into the Area Manager role which involves the review and distribution of policies across the company and providing support to the Managing Director. However her primary role is the management of Shipley carried out in partnership with Andrea Needham who is an outstanding team leader and a shining example of excellence in childcare. The management team is further enhanced by a strong team of Senior Nurse Nurses with Rachel Burgess, Kimberley Parker,
Carly Brook and Rizwana Hussain all leading their individual rooms and taking on additional areas of responsibility to support both Heidi and Andrea. The Shipley team also consists of a number of long standing, dedicated practitioners including Natalie Bithell, Faith Chippnedale and Kirsty Hunter with the Catering Manager Lynn Verity in place to ensure that children enjoy a varied and nutritional menu.
Gaynor Barton has been the Manager of our Frizinghall Nursery since it first opened and much of the nursery’s success can be attributed to her extensive childcare experience (over 25 years) and outstanding leadership skills. Gaynor is supported by a very strong team of caring and capable practitioners with the Deputy Manager Emma Howard working in a lead practitioner role having successfully achieved her foundation degree in Early Years and Childcare and now working towards gaining full Early Years Professional Status. Michelle Wilcox joined the BonBons team many years ago and through hard work and dedication has achieved further qualifications and progressed into a Senior Nursery Nurse role and Natalie Broadbent is another original team member whose commitment to the quality of care provided has ensured the enviable reputation of the nursery today. Naheed Hussain, Zahida Ahmed and Zahroon Akhtar all joined BonBons when it first opened in 2005 having previously worked in the crèche at the neighbouring Community Centre and have all secured childcare qualifications and gained valuable experience in their practitioner roles. Christine Fox is the Catering Manager at Frizinghall and is highly regarded by all for her exceptional home cooking and baking skills.
